Advisory Board

They provide expert guidance, strategic insights, and specialized knowledge within the Wings To Fly Initiative leadership management team. Within this team, they select one person who voluntarily serves as chairperson of the organization to represent the board of directors.

Frans Kriger

Frans Kriger

Frans Kriger was born on April 4, 1955. He is a devoted husband and a proud father of two sons. Throughout his career, Frans served as a senior lecturer at a prominent university of applied sciences.

He is recognized as a valuable member of ICEFIL (International Centre of Excellence for Innovative Learning), where he actively contributed to the advancement of innovative learning approaches. Frans also held the position of Manager of Content, showcasing his expertise as a trainer, coach, and mentor.

Despite entering retirement, Frans Kriger’s passion for education and his commitment to learning innovations remain unwavering. His legacy continues to inspire those around him as he utilises his wealth of experience to make a positive impact in various capacities.

Hans Van Bergen

Hans Van Bergen

Hans pursued his passion for music and education in the Netherlands, where he completed his studies in Singing and Music Teaching at the esteemed Conservatorium of Arnhem. For an entire decade, he found joy in both singing professionally within a choir and imparting musical knowledge to children.

In 1994, a new chapter began as he was appointed as a Music Professor at the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences. Over the years, this role allowed him to blossom into an educational innovator, leaving a positive impact on the institution. His journey even took him to Kakuma on several occasions, where he lent his expertise to enhance ICT in teacher training programs.

Though he has entered a well-deserved retirement, his spirit of giving back remains strong. Despite the limitations that come with this phase of life, he continues to contribute in any way he can.

Mubikirizo Panique history Wings To Fly Initiative remains unforgettable. He stood at the forefront of the refugees transformative education as esteemed Volunteer.

Driven by an unwavering passion and an unyielding commitment to uplifting the lives of marginalized communities through education, Panique has emerged as a dynamic force for positive change in his time.

Following the successful completion of his secondary education, Panique embarked on a profound journey in humanitarian volunteering services, where he played a pivotal role in educating and empowering young male and female refugees at the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya.

Panique's dedication to excellence prompted him to undergo teacher training at HU-School, a transformative experience facilitated by UNHCR and Windle International Kenya. Further enriching his skill set, he pursued training in Community Business Development through a collaborative effort between Gonzaga University and JWL.

The culmination of these endeavors catapulted Panique into the role of sharing refugee life experience, with a focus on Sustainable community projects and programs for individuals in Crises and Emergency Situations. His influential collaborations extended to sharing his experience with ICEFIL, where he contributed to training teachers in the Kakuma and Kalobei settlement camps in partnership with the University of Camilo Jose Cela from Madrid and Windle International Kenya.

Panique's extensive expertise and profound knowledge in the realms of education and humanitarian work have left an indelible mark on countless lives, particularly those navigating challenging circumstances. His visionary leadership and commitment to excellence paved the way for a brighter and more empowered future for individuals across diverse communities.
